this week has been one of the best weeks i have had at the CCM so far.
my Spanish is getting so much better . me and my companion can teach lessons now with hardly any english.
My companion and I talk all the time about how real the gift of tongues is .
on saturday we had a zone class where we acted out the nativity and it was so much fun.
i love everyone in my district so much they are so much fun. we die laughing at every meal it is so much fun being with them.
on sunday we had sacrament meeting all together and is was one of the best  sacraments I have ever been to.
then we watched a broadcast from david a bednar from a few years ago and it was such an amazing talk. he talked about the character of Christ and how we need to come to know of him. and he also said that by the time we were his age we should have 400 copies of the book of mormon. each book of mormon with a  different question.
then later that same night we had a devotional and we talked about the power of the book of mormon.
they told us about a experiment they did where the church copied all the pages of the book of mormon and they set out single copies of each page. they then had random people come up and read a single page. the results were so cool.
it was amazing to see the [power of the holy ghost because some people read the chapters on war but then they got something  so different, the power of the book Mormon is so amazing and i am so excited to go share the book of mormon with so many people.
Christmas day was so much fun!
a group of us girls got a ton of stuff together for the hermana form haiti and we also gave her a new suit case.
she is leaving this next week, which is going to be way sad because  she is the sweetest human i have ever met.
it has been so crazy to get to know her and about the country that she came from .
At the mtc was the first time she had ever used a machine to wash her clothes and she thought it was the weirdest thing. also when we gave her the gifts she was so happy, she just kept hugging us and saying i love you, it was the sweetest thing ever.

we then got to watch the broadcast from david a bendar, which was so good it was on receving revelation .
after the broadcast we got to go hit piñatas which was so much fun.
then we went and did a service project, filling up humanitain boxes
We all had a great time doing that.
we then had another devotional it was a musical devotional on the birth of Christ .
this was for sure on of my most favorite christmas.

today was by far the best day i have had here. we got to go to the temple! it was so beautiful, we go to go through a session in spanish and it was such an amazing  experience, we also at the end me and my hermanas all got to go see all the sealing rooms, they were so beautiful, words cant describe how pretty this temple was. we also had to drive kinda far to get to the temple which was so much fun because we got to see the city.
it was so beautiful but it was so crazy to see how different this country is from america.
I am so thankful to be here at the mexico ccm . i am learning so much and i cant wait to go to California and teach so many people about their savior Jesus Christ.

Phone call for Christmas

Emily got to call home today . We were able to talk to her for 30 minutes.
She was a little emotional when she first heard our voices.
We had a good visit with her and it sounds like she is loving the mtc.
She said it is a lot of fun and her and her companion Hermana Osmond get along great.
She said the mtc president is super nice and knows them by name.
One day emily, her companion and the girl from Haiti were walking back to their little house he came and stopped them and invited them to his house  . His wife made them Mexican hot chocolate and they got to sit and visit with them.
She said today for Christmas they were going to be having 3 devotionals, were going to be doing a service project( she didn’t know what the service  was yet )  and there was a rumor going around about a bunch of piñatas. But the whole day was going to be a surprise for them so  that’s all that she knew.
She is also still freezing and said her hands are so dry they are cracking and bleeding 😢
I guess her skin is used to the humidity in Florida.
Emily’s Grandma and Grandpa Johnson made these plaques for us ❤️Them

i am loving it here so much!!
its been kinda the same week as last week nothing really exciting has happened.
I love the people in my district so much they are so funny.
we eat every meal together and i can’t breath every meal because i am laughing so hard they are so funny.
it is freezing here !!  I was telling sav how cold it is but, i sleep with 5 blankets, a tee shirt ,  a sweater , two pairs of socks and sweats and i am still cold.
when we wake up there is so much frost, they other day it was 5 degrees Celsius.
also here there is so much smog, sometimes we cant even see the mountains it is insane  how poluted this city is.
we  usually cant see the moon very well, and we see about 1 star. but yesterday there was like no smog and we could see how beautiful the city was and at night we could actually see some stars and the moon,it was so pretty.
i am learning spanish pretty good, i know so much more than i did when we first got here. me and my companion are now teaching lessons in spanish using very few english words and we dont have any notes in front of us. the gift of tongues is so real.
something way cool that happened was all the sister in my district had our elders give us blessings, and it was such a cool experience and when the elder was giving me mine i had a feeling that gage was so proud of me and my choice and willingness to serve a mission .so that was a really cool experience. that was on friday last week.
i wake up at 6.30 i have breakfast at 7 . then i have class all day until 12:30 when its lunch . then i have gym until 3 then i have class until 6:45 it is a really long day! and then we have study time . we go to our house at 9 and then we go to bed at 10:30 pm so it is a wayyyyy long day.
remember how i told you that everyone here writes a talk and then they just call up whoever to give it for sacrament meeting. i got called up, so i gave a talk in spanish this week in sacrament meeting so that was fun. it was on our purpose here on earth.
i have been learning a lot, about the scriptures and about the culture and spanish. it is really exhausting sometimes.
we get gym everyday for about 1 1/2 hours so i play volleyball for a mintue its sand volleyball, and then i lay in the sun, thats like my favorite part of the day it is so nice.
the sister from haiti is going to be leaving soon. She only gets to stay a short time because she is not learning a new language.its so crazy that she has almost  been here for 3 weeks. there is a sister that came this week she is from florida and she speaks both English and Haiti because here parents are from haiti. but it is so cazy because this sister from flordia her whole family disowned her when she came on her mission so she lay has no family any more none of them will talk to her.

i will be calling you on christmas day at 9.30 mexico time!!!!!
i dont get to face time its just a phone call, but we are lucky bc the provo mtc gets nothing bc there are to many. and were lucky we get to call at least.
